Arrested in Arizona? Call Today for Help!

If you’ve been charged with a DUI or misdemeanor crime and sent to the East Mesa Justice Court, you must have been arrested by either DPS or the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. If you were arrested by a city cop, then you should have been sent to a city court.

In this short video, David Cantor explains the East Mesa Justice Court and review the Judge:

To be sent to East Mesa Justice Court, you must have been arrested within its jurisdictional boundaries. The boundaries for East Mesa are not a square, and they’re not that easy to keep track of. The boundaries are Copper Canyon Street to the north, Baseline Road to the south, Meridian Road to the east and Ashbrook to the west. If you weren’t within these jurisdictional boundaries when you were arrested, the case can be thrown out. Contact DM Cantor to check, because you may have a potential defense.

It’s important to understand that justices of the peace are typically not lawyers. They did not go to law school. They are elected. When you trust somebody else with important decision, you want them to be highly educated. You’d never allow a surgeon to operate on you if he revealed he never went to medical school. Most justices of the peace are trained for only six weeks after being elected. You need an attorney to speak for your interests in situations like this.
