Goodyear Municipal / City Court
Arrested in Arizona? Call Today for Help!
The Goodyear City Court, also known as the Goodyear Municipal / City Court, is a court in which you may have to appear if you receive a traffic ticket. If you’ve been cited and told to go to the Justice Court, that is a different jurisdiction altogether, and if you’ve been cited with a felony, you’ll have to go to Superior Court. But if you’re pulled over by a Goodyear City police officer, most likely you’ll need to go to the Goodyear Municipal Court.
In this video, David Cantor explains the Goodyear Municipal Court:
Directions to the Goodyear Municipal / City Court
If you’re driving to the court from Phoenix, drive I-10 until you hit Litchfield Road. Make a left onto Linchfield and drive south until you reach Van Buren, where you will make another left. After about a mile, at 145th Avenue, make another left; the court is at 145th Avenue and Van Buren, on the south side of the road.

When you show up, the parking should be plentiful. Be sure you are dressed appropriately. No hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, or shorts; dress as though you are going to a job interview. Why should you use an attorney? In this particular court, if you hire DM Cantor, we will go to court for you so you don’t have to go. The average case lasts four to six months, with a court date every month. The DM Cantor will appear in court for you each time, so you don’t have to miss work or school.
In addition, if you go to court by yourself you will be what is known as “pro per.” If you are pro per, you will have to sit and wait to see the prosecutor and the judge in alphabetical order, meaning you could be at court all day long. If you have a lawyer, we get preferential treatment and get to go before the pro pers to see the judge and the prosecutor.
Also, if you are unrepresented, the prosecutor will just tell you that you don’t have a very good case and that you should plead guilty. The prosecutor will not acknowledge that you have a great case and suggest that you take it to trial because you may have a chance of winning. They are looking for a conviction, so they will not do that.
