REDUCED | PROSTITUTION – State v. Ms. J. (DMC No. 5977) (Mesa City Court 2005-067109): REDUCED to FALSE INFORMATION to a POLICE OFFICER with ZERO DAYS in JAIL  Ms. J. was with another woman, when they were observed by undercover Detectives getting into a gentleman’s pickup truck.  The truck was pulled over and all occupants were questioned.  Ms. J. and her female companion denied being prostitutes; however, they gave false information as to their names and whether they possessed ID.  We were able to show that there was no corroborating evidence that she had actually made an offer of sex in exchange for money, and the State agreed to dismiss the prostitution charge in exchange for a plea to the “false information” charge.
