NOT CHARGED | SEXUAL ABUSE – State v. Mr. M. (DMC No. 6737) (Oro Valley PD & Bakersfield PD Investigated): Mr. M. had befriended a young woman who had a 14 year old daughter. They had all gone down to Nogales, Arizona on vacation. The girl’s mother began attempting to extort money out of Mr. M., and then claimed that she would tell police that he had touched her daughter. Reports were made to the Bakersfield Police, who had interviewed Mr. M. (to which he denied all claims). It was then referred to Oro Valley PD and we became involved. We were able to shut down the investigation with Oro Valley PD, and also CPS. No charges were ever brought against Mr. M.
