State v. Mr. M (DMC No. 13560) – Stalking, and Harassment – Not Charged – Phoenix Police Department Investigated
Mr. M was a 41-year-old male whose mother had recently passed and he had inherited approximately $40,000. He discovered the website Free Cams.com (the precursor so OnlyFans.com) when he met a female video “model”. He ended up spending approximately all $40,000 on this young lady, who stated she was going to move to Arizona so they could date. Ultimately, he ran out of money and she did not move to the state. He became upset and accused her of lying. His profile was then banned from that website.
Mr. M then got another profile, and he contacted her four separate times. He then became completely banned by the website. Approximately one month later, he sent her a Tweet, and again told her that she was “coldhearted”. She ultimately emailed him, and told him not to talk about her or her kids, otherwise she would go to the Police. Approximately a month after that, he tweeted her on her birthday, and then he posted videos of her son who had been dancing on YouTube.
After that point, the lady’s ex-husband called and told Mr. M to take down the video of their child dancing. He immediately took down the video, yet he emailed the young lady because he knew her real name and address. He also stated he was going to “go public” with this information. It was at this point she contacted the Police, and Mr. M contacted DM Cantor for their services.
The first thing we did was have him cease all contact with this young lady. In addition, we told him that upon contact by the Police, he was to Invoke his Rights to Remain Silent. Lastly, we reached out to the Phoenix Police Department to see if we could prevent any charges from being filed. Because Mr. M had no further issues with the young lady, No Charges were ever brought against him. He has a Clean Record, and he has learned his lesson about falling in love on the internet.
