REDUCED | POSSESSION of DANGEROUS DRUGS FOR SALE (cocaine) REDUCED to SOLICITATION with PROBATION and ZERO DAYS in JAIL – State v. Mr. K. (DMC No. 10840) (Maricopa County Superior Court CR2010-155239): Police had been operating an undercover sting in which they were texting a known drug dealer to purchase cocaine. Mr. K. arrived at that location and had cocaine on his possession. He was ultimately arrested and charged with a class 2 “possession of dangerous drugs for sale”. Due to potential entrapment defenses, we were able to work out to a plea of a simple “solicitation to possess dangerous drugs”, which included probation with no days in jail. Mr. K. was originally facing mandatory prison time.
