DISMISSED | ORDER to SHOW CAUSE for FAILURE to COMPLETE SCREENING/COUNSELING DISMISSED – State v. Mr. G. (DMC No. 6314) (McDowell Mountain Justice Court TR2005-144365): Mr. G. has been convicted of a DUI and was ordered to complete substance abuse screening and counseling. He failed to do so and an Order to Show Cause was issued. He was risking having to complete an additional 20 days in jail. We were able to secure Mr. G.’s completion of screening and counseling prior to the Hearing. We then convinced the judge to dismiss the Hearing as being “moot”. Mr. G. did not have to do additional jail and the Order to Show Cause was dismissed.
