DISMISSED | Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, State v. Mr. S. (Maricopa County Superior Court 9906212CR): Mr. S. was pulled over for a minor traffic violation, and officers claimed they could smell marijuana. They found a scale in the center console and then they searched his backpack, finding over 1 pound of marijuana. Because the search of the backpack was done without a warrant, we were able to file a Motion to Suppress all evidence, and the State moved to dismiss all charges against Mr. S.
