David began his career as a legal assistant at a law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, handling juvenile delinquency matters prior to attending and graduating from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. While in law school, David became a Certified Limited Practice Student and began providing limited legal services through the Arizona Legal Center, a non-profit legal services organization, and post-conviction relief services through the Arizona State University Post-Conviction Clinic. After graduating from law school, David committed himself to a career as a criminal defense attorney. To date, David has handled hundreds of felony criminal cases from pre-file through plea negotiations, trial, sentencing, and post-conviction.

David’s experience ultimately led him to DM Cantor, where he was hired as an Associate Criminal Defense Attorney. Since joining the firm, David has developed extensive trial experience and has handled trials at all levels of our justice system. David has handled jury trials in city court, justice court, superior court, and federal district court – a feat very few attorneys have accomplished. In addition to his jury trial experience, David has handled multiple bench trials in juvenile court.

David’s practice primarily focuses on major felonies with an emphasis on sex crimes, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation of minors, and sexual contact with minors. His practice has also included numerous high-profile cases, with notable case victories involving vehicular homicide, sexual exploitation of minors, sexual assault, sexual abuse, DUI, and many other complex and high-profile criminal investigations.

David’s desire to become a criminal defense attorney comes from his belief that all people should be treated with the highest level of dignity, respect, and compassion while they navigate one of the most challenging times of their lives. David is dedicated to helping alleviate the stress, confusion, and uncertainty of the criminal justice system for his clients, no matter the accusation and no matter their personal circumstances.
