Annual Strive to be the Best Criminal Lawyer
$2,500 Scholarship Fund
*Congratulations to Madison Fraker for winning the 2023 Annual Strive to be the Best Criminal Lawyer $2,500 Scholarship!*
At DM Cantor, our criminal defense lawyers believe in higher education, and we take pride in representing people who have been accused of DUI or criminal conduct. We understand and appreciate the importance and affect that a solid education can have on the future success of a criminal law school student. We also understand the potential difficulties of obtaining a criminal law degree because of the increasing costs of tuition, text books, and the everyday expenses regarding the necessities of life. Striving to become the best criminal lawyer (or the top lawyer in any area of practice) takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
In order to help make a college or law school education a more affordable opportunity, the Arizona DUI and criminal law firm of DM Cantor is offering a $2,500 college or law student scholarship to help current, or soon-to-be, college students ease the burden of higher education costs.
College or Law School Student Scholarship Qualifications:
To apply, each candidate is required to write a 750 word minimum essay on the topic of: “The Necessity and Value of the Presumption of Innocence and Reasonable Doubt in the Criminal Justice System”.
You will be able to enter the essay and all contact information directly into this submission page. Upon completion, simply click the ‘Submit’ button. Each applicant may only submit one (1) entry and DM Cantor reserves the right to disqualify duplicate entries. DM Cantor employees and their immediate family members are excluded from consideration.
The application deadline for the Fall/Winter Scholarship will be December 31, 2023 and the scholarship will be awarded on or before January 29, 2024, based on DM Cantor’s selection of the winner. Each essay will be equally graded on writing style, supportive facts, and the writer’s own personal thoughts/opinions, as well as technical writing ability.
DM Cantor will use a committee of lawyers to read all of the eligible entries in order to determine the winner. The scholarship award will be in the amount of $2,500 and a check will be sent directly to the college or university that is designated by the winner.
