Lane was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies. Lane then moved to Washington State to attend Gonzaga University School of Law.
During law school, Lane focused her studies on criminal law. She externed with the Maricopa County Superior Court, primarily on a criminal docket, gaining valuable insight into both prosecution and criminal defense. After graduating from law school, Lane began her career working with the Spokane County Public Defender Office. Lane worked for over three years as a criminal defense attorney in Washington State, representing countless clients and achieving successful results, such as dismissals and reduced sentences. She handled hundreds of misdemeanor cases before being promoted to a felony caseload. While managing a felony caseload, Lane was also tasked with representing clients who were eligible for resentencing based on the 2021 Washington State Supreme Court ruling in State v. Blake.
Lane moved back to Arizona in July of 2023 to continue her legal career in criminal defense. Lane’s passion for criminal defense led her to DM Cantor, where she was hired as an associate criminal defense attorney.
