CONVICTION SET ASIDE | POSSESSION of MARIJUANA – State v. Mr. M. (DMC No. 7919) (Douglas Justice Court CR0008903083): Mr. M. had been convicted of Possession of Marijuana some years earlier when he was a young man. He completed all conditions of his probation, and subsequently moved to Washington State. He lived there for over 11 years and was managing a large orchard (approx. 600 acres). His prior conviction was impeding his ability to be promoted. We filed the appropriate documents and argued in front of the Douglas Justice Court, and they agreed to set aside Mr. M.’s judgment of guilt and there is no conviction on his record. He subsequently did receive his promotion.
