Watch this video of DM Cantor, a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist, describe in detail what to expect when visiting the Apache Junction City / Municipal Court in Apache Junction, AZ.

To get to the Apache Junction City courthouse, take US-60 to the Idaho exit and go north about 2.7 miles, just a little bit past the Apache Junction Justice Court. Once you go about 2.7 miles north, take a right on Superstition Blvd., and go down about 1/4 mile. On the north side of the street, and roughly three or four entrances down from Apache Junction Justice Court, you will see the Apache Junction Municipal Court. Turn left into the courthouse and park on the south side of the building. Go into the courthouse and head to the front window check-in, so the administrative staff will know that you are there. Once you check in, they will send you into the courtroom.

* Note that Apache Junction Justice Court is a separate entity and that is not what you are looking for. You appear in Justice Court if DPS or the Sheriff’s Office cited you. You appear in City Court if city police cited you.

When you appear in court, make sure you dress professionally. Make sure the judge knows that you take the charge seriously. Do not wear cut-offs, flip flops, a baseball cap or sunglasses. Dress as if you are going on a job interview. As far as knowing about the particular Judge at the Apache Junction City Court, visit our “Judges” page from the top menu of this page. Just click on the court name, and we will give you one of four opinions: Either the firm has not dealt with the judge and we cannot give you an opinion; the firm has dealt with the judge and think he or she is pro-prosecution or pro-defendants constitutional rights; Or, the judge is straight up and down the middle.

If you are viewing this video, it means you have been charged with a misdemeanor. If you were charged with a felony, you would be in superior court. Misdemeanors are still serious, and you can get up to six months in jail and pay thousands of dollars in fines. If that is the case, give us a call at (602) 307-0808 and set an appointment for a Free Initial Consultation. A free initial consultation takes about 30 minutes of your time and will not cost you a dime. Bring all your paperwork when you come. We will sit down with you and go over your case from top to bottom, and hopefully, we can find a way out of this for you. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
