Watch this video of DM Cantor, a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist, describe in detail what to expect when visiting the Pinal County Superior Court in Florence, AZ.

The best way to get to the Pinal County Superior Court is to take the US Route 60, until you get to the Florence Junction exit. Take that exit and turn right. Continue to drive for 10 to 15 minutes to get into Florence. As soon as you pass the CCA Detention Center (Correctional Corporation of America), but before you get to the Arizona Department of Corrections, you will see a four-story complex on the east side of the road. There is also the jail that’s right next door. Pull in, it’s called Jason Lopez circle. Go about 100 feet and park on the north side of the court so you can enter on the north side of the building.

Once you go through security, there will be a whiteboard indicating what courtroom your Judge is located at. If you don’t already know which Judge your case is before, there is a small television screen mounted to the wall which shows where each case is to be heard. You are going to check in with the bailiff assigned to that courtroom then you will sit and wait to speak to either the Prosecutor or the Judge. If you are in that courtroom that means you’ve been charged with a felony. That means your case is a serious matter and you may be possibly facing years of prison time. So, it is important that you have an experienced criminal defense attorney handle your case; a defense attorney that is going to take care of you.

As far as the Judge, if you want to know what we think of the current Judges at this court, click on Judges from the top menu of this page and scroll down to ‘Pinal County Superior Court’. There you will find your Judge. Click on their name and we will give you one of four opinions – either I have no opinion because they’re new to the bench and we haven’t previously dealt with them, or they are pro-defense (which would be good), pro-prosecution (which would be bad), or they’re equally fair to both the prosecution and the defense.

When you visit the court dress professionally, as if you’re going to a job interview. Wear your Sunday best. Do not wear a t-shirt, shorts, sunglasses or baseball hats. Since your case is serious, give us a call at (602) 307-0808 or Click Here for a Free Initial Consultation. Be sure to bring paperwork for your case and we will sit down and go over your case with you from start to finish. We will do a full 30-minute evaluation of your case. Hopefully, we can find a defense or some way to get the case dismissed completely either on a technicality or factual basis. We may be able to reduce the charges so that you won’t do any jail or prison time. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
