		<description>If the county decides to retry the case, they will have a very difficult time.  The case is 20 years old.  The evidence, whatever may remain, is 20 years old, and could be lost. Memories are 20 years old.  Credibility fades as time goes on. Without the defendant admitting that he was at the scene, his &quot;accomplice&quot; would have to testify and be believed by the jury. After 20 years, and without the use of his confession, it is unlikely that if the case is retried, that the prosecution could successfully prove the defendant&#039;s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.</description>
