The dismissal of Lisa Randall’s death penalty case is getting a lot of coverage in the local Arizona media. Stories in the Phoenix New Times and Arizona Republic are getting backed up by the TV interest in the case. This video from 3TV KTVK last week explains how after former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas sought the death penalty on a case that has very little evidence backing it up. Once Arizona Criminal Lawyer David Cantor suggested that Maricopa County Attorney Rick Romely look into the case and eventually found that the medical evidence did not back up the prosecutions case.
